A trip into the Duchess Sanctuary
The video is only of my approach to the sanctuary (not exciting LOL).
The Duchess Sanctuary is a permanent home for rescued PMU (pregnant mare urine) victims and some of their offspring, along with some other rescued horses ie Mustangs. They have 196 horses on 1,120 donated acres.
As a fund and awareness raiser, they hold two open houses each year. I went to do research for my novel, which includes horses. Although I probably won't go again (it's a four-hour drive for me, each way), it provided a wealth of insight for me. I'm delighted that I'll be able to help share their cause.
